Updating Myself Today...

Someone wrote to me - WRITE, the Net misses you!

And I realized how irregular I had become in writing posties for my blog - a place I created with so much of passion to just write anything and everything I wanted to. Guess my focus shifted on photography for some time but that definitely is no excuse. I guess I just was trying to make peace with myself through my hobbies. I do that most often. Why peace with myself? Don't ask - there is nothing yet there is something. Experiences of all kinds leave me thinking so much more than I should.

On the work front, things have become crazily hectic - am onto a new account...I guess the day I wrote the posty on 'Hanging on'...God heard me and loaded me with what i wanted to do. Just that when I have it with me, I fear if I will focus 100%. I have been, so far! Don't want to fail, don't want to be a mediocre, don't want to just do something for the heck of it. I know I have invited trouble big time by writing this here. Ye people, am ready. I want to write and so I write. So with banking deep-dive, am hoping I will hold the fort for long and with confidence.

Personal front, very little time to myself. Lot of time to my hobbies. Physically unwell - stomach infection for last 2 weeks - finally having medicines given by my Doc.

So many things still that I need to take care of.

Priority # 1 - get ***** out of my life completely and all. It sucks. It actually does.

Priority # 2 - March 20th deadline long gone - its May. Shame on you Mona. Next week on, I should atleast be going 3 days a week to the gym. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.

Priority # 3 - Get Mishi to do her holiday homework and set up a routine for her. She just is in the middle of nowhere these days...watching tv and roaming around and playing...

Happy Birthday Mili!

Just a matter of time, my dear doll…
Chapattis and dal replaced Cerelac.
Nappies changed to frilly panties,
Sandals and sports shoes replaced the mittens and soft shoes,
‘Mmmm’ (an effort to say Mom) changed to “Mommy, don’t talk to me’ and ‘Mumma, I love you’,
…and you turned four! Happy birthday Mili and god bless you! Mumma loves you.

I was working today and ask me how I hate it. My angel’s big day and am not there with her. Here I am dedicating a posty to her on her 4th birthday….

Yesterday evening, I and bhabhi went to the market..though we were dead tired after the Havan, followed by lunch and dinner for the entire family…bought Mishi a cycle and two pink dresses for her big day. There shall be a big party next Saturday for her.

Today morning, Manish took her to adventure park with her cousins and then a Mac Donald’s treat. Evening, Mommy and Aawargi (Mishi’s favorite Maasi) should reach by 6.30 to cut her cake. Divsy Maasi felt bad at not being able to make it today and JLO Maasi wished her with an sms…(sometimes that’s the way it is…), tony maasi and kuhu and sara sang a birthday song for her…and so did mommy at exactly 5.15 pm..the time she was born..shouting her lungs out while driving back home. Nan, nani from Goa, dad, dadi from New friends colony, Bhabhi as usual making sure she had a rocking time the whole day..all wished her loads of happiness. Doc messaged her his good wishes and so did her otherr BIG fan…asking me to send the bills of whatever I shopped for her today. Thanks a million folks.

Finally….Clichéd by now but my favorite lines that I always sing for my little princess…and I will do it yet again….

Mommy:
You are my heart,
You are my soul,
Oh I love you Mili…
You have blessed my life,
With your little soul,
Oh I love you Mili.

Papa:
You are my heart,
You are my soul,
Oh Papa loves you Mili,
You have blessed our lives,
With your little soul,
Oh Papa loves you Mili.
Darling, may you grow up to be a beautiful human being…full of compassion and love for everyone around!

Down with fever...

..I was pretty charged up to go to work today and get started with my new role...but things do not happen the way you plan them always. And off late, nothing seems to happen the way I plan it. So, today, it is the third day in a row when I am on leave. The last I went to work was on wednesday last week. Haven't even bothered to check my emails...the fever has not left me feeling strong enough to concentrate elsewhere....to add to the misery, Mishi is down with viral too. Augmentin 625, combiflam, and Zeet - my friends for next 5 days. I lose my patience whenever I am unwell...guess all of us do...so am completely bogged down with it for now...I know I know I will be fine soon...thanks...I sure as hell be fine soon...:D
I started writing something and just erased it. ...god bless...the thought remains with me and may all those who are fighting with diseases and terminal illness have the patience to come over it and deal with it....god bless the people.

And oh, did I mention about one of the sweetest surprise I got this sunday morning? Hear this one - I am just trying to figure out which of the homeopathic medicine (yeah, I tried that too!) do I eat next...and suddenly my phone bell rings...the screen flashes an unknown number...I hear someone talk to me for almost about half a minute, not recognizing the voice or the context of the conversation...I am still confused and then I get to hear this... "yaar tum bina kisi ko jane hue itni hi pyaar se baat karti ho?'..well...not really sir...and then as if getting ready to scold...I actually asked again who I was speaking to...and then comes the patted reply...google, gargle...and what not. I was just so very thrilled..and ...surprised...and confused...and happy....and ...smiling! Unexpected goodies are always a treat...Welcome back buddy...and thank you for the wonderful surprise.

...La Divsy!

Talking of the kid within..it is fun to be with kids...like I said before it was a hectic weekend this time..but I take out time for what I like doing..and so here are some pictures of this little angel called 'Ahaana'.

Kids have new things to explore everytime....
Sun bathing...big time...

Watch out my walker...

Choti Mishi with that deadly smile...

Though subtle, but a smile in the making...

two little angels...holding on to one another...

Ahm! With two angels by my side, that smile is natural...my adorable Divsy and Ahaana...a picture I was dying to put up here for so long....am so glad Divsy is in form again, gyming and all that...wait until I shift to Noida ....then its gonna be the same old times "cruising in my first car..acting like movie stars on a friday night..." - a song so close to our hearts, when we would drive aimlesslessly and listen to it.and sing along loud...and remember that one 'bheegi bheegi raaton mein'...we would lose count of the times we would play that one and the modulations that you would do........memories of those times make me so happy. Thanks darling, for being there with me..through thick and thin..for being my angel!

Update - Weekend

Weekend just got over like it never came - and I hate that. This time around it was minus friends - just the three of us...and it felt pretty nice to be that wasy. Saturday morning was usual shopping (Ahem!) time - we went to Ansal Plaza...bought Manish adventure shoes... infact I liked one shoe so much that I am going to buy it for my dad. Nice huge brown shoes from CAT - I see that Caterpillar has a good range of shoes. I picked up a nice sweat shirt (reebok had 40% discount) & a suit(red& green printed crepe) for Lohri. We would have done the going around Shoppers Stop in almost 45 minutes for I had a con call starting at 5.30 pm, which I took it enroute. Stayed over at Mili's dadu's house for the evening.
Sunday morning, as I gave an update in my previous post - was Zoo time. The animals don't look in good shape...almost 50% of them were so old and dying that it felt bad to see them aging up. Yet, the zoo had far more animals than I actually expected.
Next Dad's birthday - Ma called and checked if I remembered. Well, I had kept a reminder so no goofing up. She made a cake for him and they went to two temples. How I wish I was with them. Pa turns Seventy. Quite some milestone. Bless you.
Movie time evening...I would have watched Spiderman Part 1 for the hundreth time now - this time only for Mili. She was after my life that she will watch this movie and was sitting in front of the sony max channel way before the movie actually started. Her dedication failed us and we gave her company, only on the condition that she will watch for half an hour. Well, I remembered the condition only after the last set of castings appeared on the screen, after the movie was over. Such is the awe of Spiderman. Years gone by and still - Mr Maguire never fails to impress me with his innocence...oh man, he is so amazingly soft and innocent in this movie. Usko tou kahin door bhaga ke le jaane ka mann karta hai, if you really ask me. Lolz.
And not to miss the few moments of bliss, talking to an old aquaintance friday evening. The term doesn't suit but there is nothing more suited than that at the moment.

The Zoo...

Mili - going pink in the heat of the day....and sleepy...verrrryyy....lolz.
Okay...this one was an exception because Mili was amazed to see them...so thought of capturing and keeping for records for her.

I actually waited for her to do this...a lot of times when she did...the bubbles did not form as much....but like they say, patience pays...it did.

The little boy on the left was a part of this nice looking family...but somehow saw him drifting all the time, until it was so evident and playing on my mind that i decided to click.
Check out the flickr page for some more pictures.

Mix of GOODIES!

I don't even feel like mentioning the schedule that is ON for me since monday...hoping I will find sanity in some days. But the weekend was great.

How can I miss the goodies - last friday was a great day for me. The team went for an offsite to Club Western in Manesar. Had one helleva time - from playing treasure hunt to cricket (Ahem, I was the maximum scorer), tug of war, blindfold, Egg Bachao Andolan...etc. Nice resort, has lots of open space. I did some click clicks too - of people in different poses..am really keen on posting them after I am done with few edits on them. Evening the team decided to watch 'Dus Kahaniyan. Gawd..sleazy stories...not at all worth a watch.

Saturday was a family day out for us - me, manish and Mili spent almost about 6-7 hours in the mall..shopping for winter wear..followed by a great italian lunch, and then a movie 'khoya khoya chand'. This one was somewhat nice. Songs were nice too. (missed my music classes! :() Sunday was Mishi's annual sports day. It is amazing to see your kid on the stage performing..she had eye contact with me even from across the ground where she was dancing to the tunes. Mommy had tears in her eyes..my kiddo is growing up and she amazes me always. I am just so crazy about her and will once again reiterate the fact that motherhood has given me a feeling that I will cherish lifetime. It is so good to be a mom, so good that you actually are proud of yourself. Every mom should be proud of herself.
More on little Mishi. The other day she went on and on - mumma why did kuch kuch hota hai (Kajol) have two boyfriends? She apparently calls the leads of the movies with the title names..like for her ta ra rum pum is Saif, Shar rukh khan is Om Shanti Om etc...I adore her inquisitive self.
Ok, break...the goodies still going on..I got to know on Monday that I got a Gold award from one of the business leaders. It was a wonderful surprise. The year at work has been satisfying performance wise..bragged two silvers and one gold...if and only if that's the way you gauge how you performed...kind of a stamp to your hardwork and perseverence. Though I would never agree to it. It is much more than getting the recognition. But am glad i got it. As long as it makes a difference and makes you feel worthwhile.
Now the trip uphill - almost freezed on Monolith resorts in Bhimtaal. Seems like a nice place. Thanks for the recommendations folks. I know I will feel a lot at home there. ;-)
And yeah - gotta go to mountain trail, chauti, and that shiv mandir in mukteshwar. I hope I manage to go there - at a distance of 45 km from bhimtaal, don't think it should take more than 2 hours. Actually depends on fog and all a lot.

Time to break - gotta get back to work...actually no, let me be home. :-)
