And oh, did I mention about one of the sweetest surprise I got this sunday morning? Hear this one - I am just trying to figure out which of the homeopathic medicine (yeah, I tried that too!) do I eat next...and suddenly my phone bell rings...the screen flashes an unknown number...I hear someone talk to me for almost about half a minute, not recognizing the voice or the context of the conversation...I am still confused and then I get to hear this... "yaar tum bina kisi ko jane hue itni hi pyaar se baat karti ho?'..well...not really sir...and then as if getting ready to scold...I actually asked again who I was speaking to...and then comes the patted reply...google, gargle...and what not. I was just so very thrilled..and ...surprised...and confused...and happy....and ...smiling! Unexpected goodies are always a treat...Welcome back buddy...and thank you for the wonderful surprise.

Down with fever...
..I was pretty charged up to go to work today and get started with my new role...but things do not happen the way you plan them always. And off late, nothing seems to happen the way I plan it. So, today, it is the third day in a row when I am on leave. The last I went to work was on wednesday last week. Haven't even bothered to check my emails...the fever has not left me feeling strong enough to concentrate elsewhere....to add to the misery, Mishi is down with viral too. Augmentin 625, combiflam, and Zeet - my friends for next 5 days. I lose my patience whenever I am unwell...guess all of us do...so am completely bogged down with it for now...I know I know I will be fine soon...thanks...I sure as hell be fine soon...:D
I started writing something and just erased it. ...god bless...the thought remains with me and may all those who are fighting with diseases and terminal illness have the patience to come over it and deal with it....god bless the people.

Welcome 2008!!!
There was a time when a new year and yet another birthday was looked forward to with so much of enthusiasm. After a certain period of time, with newness, there is a certain thought and so many others. But like always, it is a pleasure to welcome the new - so here is me wishing everyone a very happy new year. God bless. May this year be good for all.
Came back yesterday from bheemtaal - Monolith Resorts. A great trip and a great place - very mystique touch to the entire resort, lots of greenery, and very raw. They say the entire resort is made out of one rock. Liked it the moment we entered. Though we panicked intially becoz it seemed a little adventurous for all the little kiddos. The second day, we got used to everything and was good fun seeing little ones roam around the stairs.
Some great pictures clicked by Anshuman - of we girls....hoping that they will come out good. We were 13 of us - enjoyed to the core. Both 30th and 31st night, we got bon fire arranged for us. In such cold, we were all out till wee hours...enjoying the cold and the raw feel of the nature.
Women (JLO, Lasapso, Me, Rekha, Ruchi, Anu) had a great time, getting ready in classy dresses. As decided, we did break the monotony this time by no jeans and pullovers. Guys ofcourse got the shock but then that was the intent. :-)
The only thing I did not like was the fact that it is a long journey to Bheemtaal - took us almost 7 hours to reach, infact while going, we reached in 8-9 hours...because we stopped at various places. Bheemtaal as such is no great shakes but the resort is very nice...specially for honeymooners, it is a bliss - quite, lonely, close to nature, with a mystique touch to it.

Thank Yousss!!!
...chutti was good fun. Three of us watched "OSO', followed by a good lunch. Did mall hopping and shopping...when we were tired, we came home. The previous night, Manish landed home at 12.00 from Mumbai...woke me up very gently, wished me and got me a nice chocolate truffle cake from the Park. My little baby wished me and gave me enough love to long for this lifetime.
Until 12 in the afternoon, I kept attending various calls and messages. It is so nice to see everyone wishing you in their own style. Day doesn't begin without dad and ma's blessings. Infact I spoke to both of them separately twice. Ma sang 'tum jiyo hazaron saal' for me, dad in law wished me early in the morning (he is an adorable one - he made chicken for me...too bad I couldn't go and meet him that day)...Kartike (from US) played the happy birthday song on his keyboard for me and later dedicated "jara Jara' to me as his gift to me. I absolutely loved it, man. When I was leaving for the movie, there was a courier for me...I came out thinking it was from the Doc (because he had called earlier in the morning to tell me about it.) but a beautiful bouquet was waiting - white and pink carnesans....a lovely candle and a dress (skirt and top) - needless to say who could this be. My one and only Super Duper Divsy. She also sent a beautiful poem...divsy still trying to understand what it meant...thanks babe, you never fail to surprise me....I feel proud to call you my best human!
There was another beautiful card from Sakshi - thanks...you are lovely! Riju, thanks for spending so much time talking to me yesterday...been my pleasure knowing you and loving you and will always be. You do me proud in more ways than one....
JLO & Awaargi, our dhamaal will happen tonight but lovely receiving your wishes...like always...and i don't need to thank you. Om, thanks for your email and message..it surpised me and I felt good. Shruti, thanks adroable. I will catch up with ya soon. Sam, your call was a pleasant surprise...loved it..thanks! Next time, we gotta catch up..and no empathy!
Varun...ahem...you made my day...unexpected..but loved the way you talk...thanks...anshuman and rekha, thanks...was a pleasure...Ambi your wishes from london reached me. Sunny, thanks for calling me...you have never forgotten in 4 years to do that. Dimple, quite a surprise and thanks so much. Appreciate it. (She is my ex boss, now in the US, actually called me and spoke to me for a good time. Ahem!!) Gaurav, thanks for your wishes from Bangalore. :-) Arpan, thanks but no thanks.
(I don't want to thank my sis and bro and their spouses..or bhabhi and bhai....they better wish me all the time. Office folks - well, I thanked them already in person and rest of them on emails and messages.
Sir...my music sir..i have to tell you this..he actually called me and wished me..i asked him how did he know and he said u had it written on the form. He said he owes me a birthday tea...and so I shall go to his place someday and have that. Thanks a lot sir. Music sure builds up relationships. Anony, thanks for your wishes. I know who could you be.
The usual list had many more entrants...and oh yeah...not among the list ...well...Sid..you gotta give me an explanation for this..you can't afford to miss my day. And hmmmm....not to miss you...don't know if it was purposely or whatever...I waited.
Thanks people - you keep me going.

Another Milestone
Enough of my no nonsense for so many days - I gotta' hold it for a while. I suddenly start flowing with a flow, not waiting to ponder or listen or stop. That's where I think I must improve on. (Talking about such improvements, there is a looooong list, which seems to be increasing than decreasing! And it ain't a good sign.) The purpose of my writing yet another post is different. As I reach another milestone of my life, one, that I am not sure I am happy about..but one, that has given me good lessons. I will stop at that. Lessons are to be kept in mind and acted upon. In my case, I don't see that happening. But still, good to remind yourself once a year. So before it is too late, I want to remind myself, yet again, of promises that I have to keep to myself and to those close to me.
This is a reminder to me, prioritywise..and I hope and pray I follow it and promise to abide by it:1. Have severe checks on my temperament. 2. Say Quits finally. (This one's for you, Doc) 3. Get myself in shape (lolz)...hang on...get myself BACK in shape...(sounds better) 4. Give more time to little mishi. 5. Make atleast one dish a week for Manish. 6. ----------- (this one's for me to know) 7. Cut down on flirting (sorry guys)
....and the rest, I shall talk about tomorrow. For now, I gotta' plan for the day since all three of us (me, Mishi, and Manish) are on a chuttiii!!!! Thank god am done, like all other times. Happy Birthday....
