Portfolio Spree

...whoever said women would never cease to believe that they are everything but getting older in life must have known women very closely. The other day, partying at my dear friend's place - we got dressed up with so much of enthu like those college days - maskara, fringes, glossy lip shades, thick kohl lines to get that impact on not-so-big-eyes and all that jazz. To top it all, I had my newly-straightened-hair to show off to my friends.
The guests were arriving all, one by one, and we were busy making the right combos in our capris and tops, and tshirts and sandals. So much for the dressing up part. As if it wasn't enough, both sonu and I went crazy posing for some real happening pictures. We just missed developing an entire portfolio for the two of us - close ups from all angles, posing left-right and centre in front of the 7.1 mega pixel digicam and later trimming those pictures to get the best of all. It was only when Tarun (Sonu's hubby) screamed at us, did we realize that the guests were already in the living room, waiting with flowers to shower upon us. :-) Women, can they ever change?
An interesting thing to note - Sonu would have changed about 5 dresses, to suit Tarun's idea of a perfectly clad wife. Each time she would wear something and show him, he would very conveniently ask her to change saying that it did not look good, or was not perfect for a party hosted at home. I could see her irritation mounting up, but there was hardly anything she could say. Left me feeling very strange about men. Why do they have to bother what their better halves are wearing, as long as it is decent and not too revealing. I mean, come on...it's a democratic society - you have the right to wear what you want to wear. Why can't men, specially husbands, concentrate on looking good themselves in flamboyant clothes, than waste that much of time, scrutinizing their wives and their dresses. I mean it is so old fashioned to comment on someone else's dressing up. Give it a break guys. Women know what they look good in. It is the comfort which really matters afterall.
(Tarun, no offence meant to you - don't kill me after reading this.)
