Is getting the better off me – with the extended Aug weekend approaching, I have been racking my brains to freeze on a place where I can be away from this maddening place - on my own for a while and look at life in the right perspective. Too many loose ends here - there has to be a peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the mountains or lakes or rivers, where all I would want to do is booze hard, read a book or two, maybe paint the scenic beauty around, and be close to nature.
Uphill - chail, kasuali, kullu-manali, maclodgunj, or simla - tempts me but I wonder if I really want to connect to the mountains this time around. I guess not. I never liked mountains since my childhood. Just that for some time, I got very close to nature uphill and they brought amazing peace and self contentment in me. From my basic instinct, I would much rather get on to plains this time and get absorbed in a different feeling altogether. And they said - change is a must-do in one's life.
Rajasthan - jaipur, udaipur and the likes. Actually, not bad to explore. Forts - need to raise an interest. Won't say I am closed to the thought. Every thing is worth a try - you never know what clicks when. Thought behind the effort makes a lot of difference. Watch out for this space - next month, I shall be here with my experiences - a whole lot new to share.
