This is in continuation to a discussion I had with one of the folks I know – remnants of that fragmented conversation echoing in my mind so much so that I had to pen them down here as an after-thought. Just a passing thought by the way. Not an attempt to say anything to anyone with a motive. Most definitely not. And you can rest assured for that.
Which one would put the mind at peace? To forgive or to forget? Oft times, it is forgiveness that puts an end to miseries of a seething heart. Yet bleeding hearts would more easily forget than forgive. Whatever order we may put them in, the feeling persists within yourself. Much as one would want to let go of it, it is still – every minute of it. Was it that easy to forgive people who turned your world upside down? Or to forget them for all those long days of mental turmoil? Or better still, let times fade out the hurt and as usual, you get into the affairs of the mundane world once again. Time is the best healer, so they say. Come on, this ain’t no solace. Need a definite answer. You can’t let everything in life pass by you with a hope that time will heal everything. Can you? Then? Go on, think…
