Rock on...

..is all about friends....AND Music!!! And it certainly wasn't just a movie for me......its like living your college times.
Sunday morning I get a call from my buddy of 30 years and he tells me to get ready for this show. He had already seen the movie but wanted to see it again with me once. Maha-thrilled, I got ready for the show. He specially came to pick me up and we enjoyed the songs even before we went to see the movie.
What a great work - Farhan Akhtar is unbelievable! He is a rock star - so perfect in everything he does, right from movie direction to singing to acting to performing on stage. Did we know anything about him until we saw the movie? ofcourse we know his directional abilities - Dil Chahta hai and Lakhsya, both were super hits. Arjun Rampal with his dead-serious looks and long hair was a delight to watch...I freaked on that english number that the killer drummer sings - superb character. Prachi Desai - very very high class looks in the movie...songs...sikandar was good and 'tum jo ho' be my best bet.
My favourite scene - taking out Jugnu after ages and the look on their face when they go to that chai shop and that hall for rehearsing...another one when Rampal wants to go attend the concert and the way he looks at his wife. :)
Nothing more about the movie - just that my fingers itch to take out rhe guitar from the loft of the other room and go strumming...I better get back to it soon.
Thanks Arpan for the lovely gesture...cheers and rock on!!

As my status on facebook says - I feel that apart from everyone else, Javed Akhtar is the real star in Rock On... what mind f****** blowing lyrics.
Pichle Saat Dino Mein is out of the world.
Tum Ho To is a masterpiece in itself... & Arjun Rampal takes it to another level with his performance.

He was out of this world in the grown up role.... stoic.. serious... suffering... trapped... controlled So many words that come to mind to describe his character...

seen the movie third time today and somehow wanted to share the feeling with someone like-minded... got to your blog via flickr and here I am....

The movie is ground breaking in many terms... lyrics, music, vocal, storyline and many more... but above all, farhan rocks.... i am a big fan of him from dil chahta hai to lakshya to Don and now this one.... amazing!!!

and those songs.... awesome.... I just can stop standing up and dancing in the last concert... "Tum ho to" simply rocks!!!!!!! I took my whole team out for the movie and we all felt completely in sync after the movie...no words spoken, just a siggy passed from one to another... and all just dreamt about rocking time to come... oh, so much more to write but wont spoil too much of ur space :) will write more on my blog - http://dailydumpofmine.blogspot.com

best wishes to u!
