...Diwali was as usual - getting ready, going over to NFC, doing puja for long, chit chat and then food, giving gifts to all...there was nothing very different this time around too. Surprisingly, I did not have a quite moment, feeling away from the rest. Sometimes, wishes help. Not to say I would have not liked that. From within, I have always been a loner - I guess I like being that.
Hmm...on diwali morning I was up 4.30 am - could not sleep beyond that. Switched on the lights and began reading 'The Ranch'. For the next two hours, I was into it...and when it started haunting me (with that doctor's plight who was treating AIDS patients, and realized much later in life, that she too caught up with it during one of the blood transfusion), I thought of doing something else.
I did my puja, decorated it and re-established one more time. I like to do that. I like to do up my mandir, though once in ages. And God, I love you - you are one such dynamic personality...the way you design, create, recreate destinities is not funny. Maasha-allah. You know it all and you do it all. The past, the present and the future are all linked perfectly in your book. Hats off...and I bow to you. And I like the way you deal with me specially - I have zillions to thank you for.
hmmm...could I forget to give the update on my latest watch - from the Espirit. It is a broad mettallic strap with sky blue dail. After Swatch and Tommy (both of which Manish got for me in last two years), this one is my choice and I like it. Although Tommy is cool too with a reversible band of red and blue strap. Thanks Manish, for yet another one...you are adorable...and much more...;-)
Thursday was interesting too...2 hours of reckless driving with Sonu...first from the pahadi raasta at 7.30 pm, driving 20 kms and finally getting into a jam..taking a u-turn and returning back to gurgaon. Not to forget stopping each time my phone bell rang - RFP submission time and hence the chaos at the BD's end.
And then Golden dragon happened - a corona pint with fried dimsums - it was a good combo. Listening to a 22 year old lad - actually bearing with his cute non stop nonsense for half an hour (lolz), and then finally starting for Noida at 10.40 pm. Listening to awesome numbers on the way, actually promoting them to sonu starting with Sad but true, Smack my bitch up on Toll road, you are beautiful in my mind towards the end. Reaching Noida and joining friends straight on the dance floor on ' Jab se tere naina'. For the first time, tried to do ball dance, and enjoyed it to the fullest. After a hot discussion with Arpan on MCPs and the likes, we crashed finally at 4 in the monring.
