Mili's Colouring Days

...colouring her drawing book for almost an hour at a stretch - I am happy with the way I see Mili's concentration developing. For last two days, she has been sitting and coloring pictures in her drawing book right when she is back home. Surprisingly enough, no mention of TV or anything else. I guess she is getting that competitive streak in her behaviour!

Day before was windmill that she was coloring..it came out pretty well until she decided to use black (her favourite color). She realized half way through that the color she chose wasn't right and she got irritated and started nagging. (Thank god she realizes what looks good and what doesn't). She wanted to tear off that picture (Destructive mind, like mommy!) but I took it from her. Yesterday, her reaction was little better...she colored a camel and a basket which came out pretty well and even when she used a color (grey) which did not look good, she was milder in her reaction.

I must tell you about this special hug that I get from her, after I bathe her and am dressing her up for the play school. It has become a routine and I get it without asking for it. There is a bonding in between the two of us - the perfect one. I think being a mom to my daughter is all I could ever ask for. One feeling that beats every god damn feeling in this world. And, I mean it when I say this. Motherhood - there is nothing that can beat this feeling.
