My house suddenly looks filled up with abject things to folks – completely stuffed, I must say. Feels good to see so many people around. With Goldie and Karma shifting upstairs with me and Mishi, life is going to be different for sure. What going to be – it has.
Zombie state of affairs – yesterday has been a long day for me. Got up at 5 in the morning to see off hubby dear for his 0630 am flight and crashed on bed only at about 3.30 am the next morning. But eventful day altogether – worked until 6.30 in the office and after picking mishi, came home and worked until 10.45 pm, in between gave mishi a hot water bath and put her to sleep – one should have seen the cluttered inbox that I had with mails floating in. For sometime I almost thought I was one hell of a busy one. But it was fun – I think I really worked well yesterday with utmost concentration and I hope my rigour continues. 10.45 pm and it struck us to go watch a movie. We debated between Salam-e-ishq and Parzania and finally went for the former. Oh man, 11pm to 3 am – almost a 4 hour long ordeal. I hardly don’t like any movie so won’t comment there but interesting characters played by Govinda and Akshay Khanna – I loved Khanna’s role and the way he potrayed it to be – a cool dude attitude. Guess every guy should be like that. One very nice song too – saiyan na kare aitbar or something like that…. What irritated me was the overtly confident look Salman carried throughout the movie, the stupid "hurrr" of salman's brother, and the young look Anil Kapoor tried to come up with. I must say the director has done a tedious job of putting together bits and pieces together for the transition from one story to another was decent and it was not an effort to connect to them. John and Vidya steal the show with their acting skills and Govinda managed to get the humor in the movie. Ayesha Takia, for a change looks good.
That sums up Salaam-e-ishq.

The older version with the same name was an awesome movie - and the song, though not sure about the lyrics, still so fresh in my memoria...
"Is se aage ki ab daastan mujhse sun,
sun ke teri nazar dagmaga jayegi,
baat ab tak chupi tere dil main jo hai,
mera dawa hai hoton pe aa jayegi,
tu masiaah, mohhabbat ke maaro ka hai,
hum tera naam sun ke chale aaye hain,
ab dawa de ya de de tu mujhko zaher,
teri mehfil main ye diljale aaye hain...
ek ehsaan kar, apne mehmaan par,
de duwayen tujhe umr bhar ke liye...
Got lost in the yesteryears....but anyway - salaam-e-ishq - always and forver. It is one emotion that beats all.
Back to my story, when I crashed on bed finally at 3.30 am, I was just hating the thought of getting up at 7 in the morning to get my little one ready for the school, nevertheless, I ritually performed my duties of an ideal mommy in the morning, taking her tantrums and feeding her, and dressing her up etc only to realize at 9.15, when the cab did not come, that it is a holiday for her due to mohharram. So much for the forgetfulness Zombie – go get ready for work now. You have a long and busy day at work, today as well. Salam-e-ishq…
