I have always drawn a fascination for this time of the year - India is beautiful around October - with so many festivals - durga pooja, diwali, kali pooja to name a few...having lived in North East for good seven years, durga pooja anyway had a lot of significance in my life...lots of profound memories attached to my yesteryears.
With the project load off my shoulders, I don't have much to do at work. Besides, our workplace is all decked up with diwali celebrations..and have a mega lunch today, to break whatever remains of the concentration for a serious work. But thats ok, sometimes you should relax at work too. ;-)
Wondering when to do the diwali shopping - lights, colors for rangoli, diyas, floating candles, choli lehenga for my little Mishi, something nice to wear for myself, gifts for everybody in the family and so much more - this time, with my folks around with me, I want to do it with double the enthusiasm. Don't know when will we get together on yet another diwali...so while we are here, lets just enjoy.
Last diwali is vivid in my mind too. Each year has something different to unfold. Taking it in stride is the best thing you can do. Cheers and happy diwali, folks.
