Friday Morning!

Okay so I got inspired by a friend who had a very very cute profile picture with some expressions similar to the ones I have here in this picture and thought of clicking one like that.....lolz......I failed miserably...each time I saw her picture, it made me smile....

I am a hopeless optimist, so here's hoping this one does too...:D

TGIF - Musical

Can I start my friday with a musical start? The songs playing in my car stereo (actually Manish's car these days - and I don't like the speakers too much in there. ;-) remind me so much of my yesteryears - most of the times I smile as I drive. Okay, here goes the ones on my stereo these days:
1. Lucelle - 'You found the fine time to leave me lucelle - 400 children and a crop in the field' (Kenny Rogers) - my all time favourite singer. Guys, you must listen to this man...specially his 'Lady' 'Three times a lady' ' You decorated my life'...and so on...
2. It sure took a long time - 'It sure took a long time to miss me, a long time for you to come around, a long time to find what was wrong' - No points for gusssing its 'Lobo'. Other favourites remain 'Don't tell me goodnight', 'Don't expect me to a be a friend'...
3. Main Kaise Kahoon Jaaneman - 'Main kaise kahoon jaaneman, tera dil sune meri baat, ye aankhon ki siyahi, ye hoton ka ujala, yehi hain mere din raat - A beautiful gazal by Jaggu dada - when i heard it first, I could not believe it was a gazal..never heard such a romantic gazal ever before. A must-hear - guys, buy this cd if you don't have it or haven't heard this number. Another gazal, which is originally by Ghulam Ali 'kabhi tou meherbaan hokar bula le' is a great one to listen.
4. Easy like a sunday Morning - Lionel Richie - All the unpopular songs of Richie get into my favourite list. Hear it out...nice one...this one. I have this bad habit of hearing to a song again and again and again...the count may go as high as 100 sometimes..:D

Do you mind sharing the ones you like the best these days? Talk about your favourites plus the ones playing on these days. I intend spending atleast an hour in Planet M on saturday with another music lover (Arpan, I hope you are listening)- and try collecting some more music.

Do you sense the fact that I am happy? I have reasons - MANY. The first being today the last day of my training (man, it was loooonggggg!!).

Mithya..

...I always had a strange kind of fascination with this word...Mithya...infact in many of my writings, one of my protagonist was named 'Mithya'. I kind of related to her ways of leading life and experimenting with things around...everyday a new story...everything curtailing to mithya....I actually thought of making her a very strong character of my stories whenever I wrote that book (!) - but oo la la la..Rajat Kapoor just defeated my whole purpose. :-I ...why that oo la la la la? Because he deserves it....I guess his three years on this movie are justified. I will give it to him.

While I will have to figure out a new name for my future character...I don't really mind it because RK deserves this name more than anyone else. A 2 hour flick - what an amazing one! I just loved the movie....and this guy Mr. Shorey...man, he is terrific in this movie. Must Watch - especially the scene where he looks into the mirror and talks to himself and curses himself for dreaming high. It was a comedy but it makes you cry too. Guess how we watched this movie - we actually bunked office yesterday for a couple of hours ...Anshul, me, Anjali, and Rachit...had some nice Spanish Chicken Salad and then this movie. Almost felt like a friday. ;-)

And ohhh....Happy Friday Folks. This weekend I am gonna' watch Jodha Akhbar, someone recommended it to me and so it is a must watch now...

...and the number on my HIT LIST for almost a week now that I have heard for almost 100 times..from khoya khoya chand..and I have to mention it here....so very peppy and mast:

Bombay to Bankok!!!

Yesterday evening while coming back from work, I was damn excited...it being a friday - I had to be. Plus the fact that I made peace with myself earlier in the day by giving the next version of the plan and getting good feedback doubled my excitement. All the way back home, I kept dancing while driving on 'Mauja hi mauja' (Hey I seem to have got caught by Mika Singh on this one!)...the volume was 21 (pretty high for my car)...I usually get into this mode whenever I am happy - High volume, peppy number with my hands moving up in the air, head shaking per the music...it is crazy...not even bothering what people outside would be wondering. Actually why me, many of us do this...and don't lie...I know MANY of us actually do this. :-)

Review time - got time after a real looong time to watch a movie. Naresh kukunoor has done a pretty neat job with Bombay to Bankok - a very simple comedy - though very few scenes where you can actually laugh your head out.... that phrase 'jeevandhara ki jwalamukhi' did it for me...good attempt on the love story. The reviews I read were pretty bad for this one but you must see it once...like I said, it is nice and simple. Both Shreyas and the chinky female lead have acted well..and so have others. The first 15 minutes of the movie are bad though but stay on...it ain't a bad package afterall. Atleast, I really liked it.

Never say never again...

...I wish I had never written this post on friday...

...Submission done, nuts cracked, slogged much and now it is friday for me. Even if it wasn't literally for me, I would have made it otherwise. Not sure how the day at work looks because a couple of people have already asked me what time am I in office tomorrow, but for sure it can't be as crazy as last three days. Man, my back hurts...terribly.
Today evening, I don't wish to find myself in front of the laptop - infact I want to do something really different. People tell me what to do. I have one agenda in mind - 'The Ranch', that am gonna complete today. Party? Wondering if that is happening...was supposed to at my place but I could not catch up with folks....

Nevermind, I will plan out something. Help me planning something for the new years. Have you begun doing that for yourselve? If not, do it coz you may not get reservations. We gotta plan for 10-11 folks right from 30th till the 1st of Jan. The place playing foremost in my mind is Lansdowne. Tell me if there is any great place that you know of..not more than 5-6 hours of drive. I could think of kannataal too but it is going to be far off. Let me check Lansdowne - there are two other resorts that have opened there and so I have a chance there.(Tired of black fonts..and hence the color change. Nothing got to do with my mood. :D)

...and when I was done writing this on friday, my turmoil began...chest pain, back pain, stomach hurt.. friday was one of the really terribly days for me...missing in action, I was down with all the pains (physical) one can think of. It really never takes a moment for you to live or die! Trust me.

Before I go any further, I am fine..and hence here...planning to go to work too. Let's see...
