Gift of a lifetime...

...Like I said before, I still don't know how to react to surprises - good or bad.

But this one filled me with so much of ....don't know what. I get a message 'Check your gmail'. I check it and I have a mail from Flickr which says you have been gifted.

Someone GIFTED me a Flickr Pro account!!! It was such a beautiful gesture in so many years now that it feels me with pleasure that I can never explain. Thanks buddy for your beautiful gesture and the underlying encouragement - I will cherish it forever. And I will live upto your expectations.

This one for a very cute friend (Don't kick me - I know you don't like being called cute) that I made some time back who says am his mirror copy (and guess what, he is so right), who fights with me, argues with me, irritates me, yet remains connected and close to me. The first time we met - he named me chammo...the second time we met, we fought over which song we should be listening to...I would change what he would play and he would yell what I would put..and in that second meeting, we sang together a couple of songs on the loudest of our pitches! Almost every alternate day, we would end up fighting like crazy and yet looking forward to chatting up again. The way he would make up is the cutest of ways ever..and I learnt it from him that too. His philospohical side has been 'out-of-the-ordinary' most of the times (I don't relate to what you say everytime..lolz) - lekin ekdum JAABAD hoti hain baatein. Humor - ekdum mast...banda - ekdum dhinchaak.

Strange at times, yet a blessed soul. I actually wrote something to him sometime back and I am very tempted to write it here...but I guess I will save it for other times.

Double Bonus...

..Isn't it so much fun when you expect a lesser amount and what you get is MUCH MORE. Bang on - I got my bonus letter yesterday...man, wasn't I happy? For split seconds..I was. I am rich overnight and I already have a plan in place to spend every penny of what I have got. The first and foremost is THE CAMERA on my mind. Next week, I am buying one...am super-excited. Yipeee!! Finally.

Things suddenly have started falling into place. In a month's time, I am opting out for Work from home option - have already added my name in the workflow and sent a requisition for a newer, loaded (ahem) laptop. I was never in the favour of this option but I guess you need to see your priorities sometimes over what you like and don't like. When I told my dad, he was so relieved and happy. He had been messaging me everyday telling me how hectic a life I was leading.

Yesterday was a treat to a spicy and creamy delight - an experience I wouldn't want to forget. It is strange how you get yourself to do things you would never do, but for some circumstances. So far so good. This seems like a good study. Unbelievably strange...and surprisingly getting stranger each day. I ain't ready but I would want to read more than what shows up.

And lo..its a friday...jeans, or a skirt, or a wrap around...ummm..lemme think...okay..I guess a brown and white skirt and a brown polka dotted top with high brown heels should do for today. Happy friday folks...am getting ready to look my Besht!

Bombay to Bankok!!!

Yesterday evening while coming back from work, I was damn excited...it being a friday - I had to be. Plus the fact that I made peace with myself earlier in the day by giving the next version of the plan and getting good feedback doubled my excitement. All the way back home, I kept dancing while driving on 'Mauja hi mauja' (Hey I seem to have got caught by Mika Singh on this one!)...the volume was 21 (pretty high for my car)...I usually get into this mode whenever I am happy - High volume, peppy number with my hands moving up in the air, head shaking per the music...it is crazy...not even bothering what people outside would be wondering. Actually why me, many of us do this...and don't lie...I know MANY of us actually do this. :-)

Review time - got time after a real looong time to watch a movie. Naresh kukunoor has done a pretty neat job with Bombay to Bankok - a very simple comedy - though very few scenes where you can actually laugh your head out.... that phrase 'jeevandhara ki jwalamukhi' did it for me...good attempt on the love story. The reviews I read were pretty bad for this one but you must see it once...like I said, it is nice and simple. Both Shreyas and the chinky female lead have acted well..and so have others. The first 15 minutes of the movie are bad though but stay on...it ain't a bad package afterall. Atleast, I really liked it.
