Karva-Chauth

Karva-Chauth, originally uploaded by TimeCaptured.

Karva-Chauth
An Indian festival called Karva-Chauth - when all married women pray for the long life of their husbands by fasting the whole day with no food or water and breaking it only after they see the moon - falls on the fourth day of the full moon, every year and hence called karva-chauth (karwa=moon, chauth=4). All women wear mehendi (henna) and preferably a red dress and some bangles.

Wishing all married women a happy karwa-chauth! :) and oh yeah, one of the very few pictures clicked by Manish. :)

It was a lovely day :)
