Week One - Melbourne

Foreign Lands are alien lands - I have felt it each time I have been out of my country. Whether it was Japan or Singapore or Sultanate of Oman or Australia now - they all look similar and they all look alien. There are just some places or things that surprise you and you find them amusing - other than that, it's just the same.
First week in Melbourne Australia just about to get over. Been good so far. The first sunday, we went to The Great Ocean Ride - I actually took the helicopter ride over the antartic ocean to see the 12 Apostles - a view so spectacular - couldn't have dreamt of seeing in my life. A lifetime experience for sure.
Today, we went to Skydeck - a building high up - one of the tallest in the world, from where you can see the entire Melbourne city. It has 88 floors and it takes you a couple of seconds to reach the 88th floor. It wasn't new for me for I have been to the Tokyo Tower. But for first timers, it is indeed an experience. I will share the pictures soon. It also has something called 'The Edge' - a cubicle made of glass on the edge of the building which makes you feel you are up in the air 300 metres above the ground - the floow obviously is made of glass.
A little later today, we head to Saint Khilda beach for a stroll and watch little penguins playing there. :-)
Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Well, wait for the pictures.
