There was a time when a new year and yet another birthday was looked forward to with so much of enthusiasm. After a certain period of time, with newness, there is a certain thought and so many others. But like always, it is a pleasure to welcome the new - so here is me wishing everyone a very happy new year. God bless. May this year be good for all.
Came back yesterday from bheemtaal - Monolith Resorts. A great trip and a great place - very mystique touch to the entire resort, lots of greenery, and very raw. They say the entire resort is made out of one rock. Liked it the moment we entered. Though we panicked intially becoz it seemed a little adventurous for all the little kiddos. The second day, we got used to everything and was good fun seeing little ones roam around the stairs.
Some great pictures clicked by Anshuman - of we girls....hoping that they will come out good. We were 13 of us - enjoyed to the core. Both 30th and 31st night, we got bon fire arranged for us. In such cold, we were all out till wee hours...enjoying the cold and the raw feel of the nature.
Women (JLO, Lasapso, Me, Rekha, Ruchi, Anu) had a great time, getting ready in classy dresses. As decided, we did break the monotony this time by no jeans and pullovers. Guys ofcourse got the shock but then that was the intent. :-)
The only thing I did not like was the fact that it is a long journey to Bheemtaal - took us almost 7 hours to reach, infact while going, we reached in 8-9 hours...because we stopped at various places. Bheemtaal as such is no great shakes but the resort is very nice...specially for honeymooners, it is a bliss - quite, lonely, close to nature, with a mystique touch to it.

and Bhimtal is just the right place for singles too... when you want to take a break... just go there.. do nothing... walk up to Naukuchiyatal or if you are too keen just go to Bhowali and then then to the Golu Devta ka temple and see the lovely mountains and the two lakes from a distance.. that entire place is so amazing...
i have driven around twice in that area... infact thrice... and have loved it to the core...
Hey Om, check out the pictures...
