Am I missing something here?

hmmmm...khoye khoye chand ki talaash mein udaas hai dil,
kyun, apne aap se khafa khafa naraaz hai dil?

A flickering thought,
few lines from a known song,
flashes of a distant memory,
a day undone,
a moment gone by,
a promise unfulfilled,
a hope half-lived,
and a desire - yet and still.

Not sure I can explain - but the feeling within persists. What is it? Who is it?

Folks back home? My work? A friend? A feeling? Or something I am not aware of?

'Who' doesn't matter. The fact that it is there, matters.
