To friends - with love!

….the last three days were great – enjoyed almost every moment of it. Starting with Friday when I went shopping with Bhabhi to Lajpatnagar market – got a lehenga choli and duppatta made/done in purple (two colors playing favorite this season – purple and green). Except the choli, I think the lehenga and duppatta have come out very well..it was fun to get the lace, gota, getting it dyed and stitched. Anything which is your creation satisfies your ego in a big way. Later on Saturday, we the trio (read me, JL and aawargi) did a modeling of the dresses we picked up..it was fun with Jlo taking the lead with her absolute designer sense…

Friday night we all played cards till about 3 – was fun unlearning whatever little I had learned 2 years back on cards. Saturday morning, with still the zombieness of the previous night, me and my aawargi set out to complete the mission of getting the dresses ready and giving them the final touches. All this for diwali. It completely amuses me the way she embarrasses me in public – she would just cut me short and yell and scream and get annoyed and be nasty at all times. Yet, it is my luck to have known her for so many years. She is one pocket size powerhouse. As for the name ‘aawargi’ – I call her that because she really is meri aawargi ki inteha. :- ) oh and by the way, after almost 7 years, I did her small potfolio (she looks okay in those pictures but not like me in my portfolio, the way Jlo did it for me. Those are my prized pictures and I must thank Jlo for that).

Saturday night added to the fun with Suri and Jlo coming home (all this in Noida – at aawargi’s place) – we all planned to go for dhandiya but somehow the feel at home was too good to even think of going out. After the modeling session and settling the kids to sleep (oh man it is a task telling them stories unlimited until they fall off to sleep) – I ventured into the ongoing card session at around 11.45 and surprised everyone with my mind games (!) – at 5.20 am in the morning, I was a 550 + in my pocket and again a zombie. It took me about 20 minutes to finally sleep only to wake up at 8.30. Two and half hours of sleep did it for me, I could hardly open my eyes, when we decided to pamper us nice and proper, which led us to the best part of the long weekend – facial and a good massage. Oh man, after almost about 6 months, I got a thorough massage done. The lady was awesome and all thanks to aawargi for arranging her.

The weekend ended with some serious talk with Jlo – we click just fine, with so many similarities so to say. I love her for telling me how we are alike, gives me more perspective into her though process. You are a great human being and I know you will be forever happy because you know what you want in life. Infact, each one of us at any given point in life, must know what we want.
