…. the number of email exchanges and sms’s with a stranger! Or a long phone call with that stranger.
Is getting to know someone that interesting or are you that hit with boredom that you take fancy to Internet? Can you take out that much of time from your daily schedule to entertain a stranger? Certainly not – then how do you do it? There is no question of a ‘why’ here….because there ain’t any why…
While my first reason may not be apt, the second can be closer yet not the correct one. Or just a simple ‘JLT’.
As for the second question here, well, multitasking best describes such scenarios. Guess we are at it. Multitasking in almost everything we do in life. Not limiting this word to the superficial level, but even otherwise.
Please don’t panic – I may not be quoting your example – just a general observation through a day’s routine.

getting to know someone is a nice way ahead... getting to know someone more and then finding that its interesting and you would like to get to know more is more interesting :P
its not about boredom.. its not about multitasking... its not about fancy to the internet... its not about the time you got on hand...
its about being human... a li'il attention... a li'il smile that was not there before makes a lot of sense... i guess for all of us...
Oh.. and its not life as a whole anymore.. its Chai ki Dukaan now..
...I will completely agree to the human part of it and the smiles part....
Little attention...well...its hardly little...
..and teach me how to change the name to chai ki dukaan...
