Delhi Monsoons

....in last couple of years, I haven't really seen NCR getting as much rains as this season. Yesterday and the previous night, it rained heavily...am sure crossing the usual 150 mm bar. While the heart soaks in endless romance, the infrastructure brings soaring thoughts to reality - Delhi drowns in monsoons! Every road gets an irrepairable damage with lightest of showers. If you talk about gurgaon, you got to believe to what I say - in minutes of the first few showers, the roads get flooded with water. Yesterday, after I got my car fueled up, there was no way to get out of the darned fuel pump - reason? The only narrow passage that had little water levels as compared to other completely overflooded areas...was jammed because of two cars that became the victim of 'come-get-stuck-here'. After waiting for almost 15 minutes, already late for an appointment, I switched off my ac, pulled the gear on 1, and with a steady speed, plunged into the water....and.....and...and...aah...I did get out safe! But that '30 seconds turmoil' was enough to be on my memory for the whole of the day and here it is today - for you.
Monsoons - just an irony that instead of the romance that it recreates, the baddies associated alongwith are too heavy for us to bel able to enjoy the pleasanteries of the weather.
But hey, what the heck...I still want to feel that...and I wonder what am I doing here in this awesome weather...I should have been some place else...maybe some place like shoja or thanedar (two places in the recent past that I have completely freaked out on!)...and until I go to a better place, they remain my favourites.
God, thank you for the lovely times you have given to me in my life. Some memories don't fade, some places you don't forget, some blissful times you cherish, some people you never forget.
(reminds me, someone got inspired by my last post and sent me an email with a beautiful message. The message completely moved me. And I would like to tell her that 'nothing is a thing of the past - at times, we do get tied up in the daily chores but all said and done, I am sure we will have many more beautiful times together again. And I assure you of that. I will brag those times for us.) God bless.
Until then, all you folks...enjoy the monsoons...and soak your heart....with....WHATEVER!!!
