...three days of not much work in the office after a long vacation leaves me feeling disillusioned to the core. Sometimes it is 'all work and no play' and sometimes it is vice versa. Nevertheless, evenings pass by in window shopping to check out furniture. With bhai having shifted to Delhi, I am in dire need of furniture stuff to make my house look 'not so empty'.
Something that has stayed in my mind and wanted to post it here - few days back, in Delhi, me and one of my friends were driving towards Noida, when on the road side we stopped at a small 'pan wala on wheels' kinda thing to buy some stuff. What I saw would have gone un noticed, but for my eagerness to see how was the panwala operating on that wheel like shop...boy, must I say I was overwhelmed at what I saw...there were two guys there..one without any legs who sat there on that wheel shop and the other guy without any hands...he was wearing a full shirt...and i realized only later when i saw his shirt sleeves hanging on his body...what a great show on their part to not indulge in any begging activity and very respectfully earning their living....it is good to see such people and get inspiration from them time to time. I went to Noida again but this time could not see them...whenever I get to see those guys next time, I will stop by and talk to them for a while...I kept on thinking about them for a long time..it was very easy for them to actually take to begging like so many other folks do..but the way they chose to earn their living, their perfect combo...helping each other live and live happily and with dignity.
