Peace Prevailing Weekend...

...almost after a decade, the first weekend of its kind, when all we did was be at home and just do nothing.
Friday was a chaos at work - some last minute issues with the commercials got me spinning for a deliverable. Got so busy with work until 9.30, that for some time forgot that there were friends coming over for a stay. Only when I got a call from shalu, who was standing downstairs and wondering where my car was, that I realize that everybody had come home and I was still struggling with the commercials in the office. Anyway, winded up everything fast, another tension mounting up to buy veggies and fruits and other stuff for the kids who were at home. As if this weren;t enough, I got a call from my bhabhi saying she was already in mehrauli with her two kids.
Five kids together - you can imagine the chaos...but it was fun...even after staying home forever throughout both the days, we would end up sleeping at 5 in the morning, to catch up sleep for 2-3 hours and then back to togetherness, listening to songs, singing songs (both Arpan and I have been singing partners since last 16-17 years now)...talking about life, relationships, cracking jokes, PJs, acting, mimicking others and what not...all lying in the bed or on the floor....with tea-breaks, watermelon breaks, orange breaks, sutta-breaks...and so on.
I did try to interrupt the routine a couple of times by telling them to go out for a movie..or watch a movie at home (infact got The Good German as well..) but to no avail...nothing worked and I am glad it did not...because at the end of a weekend, we were all so happy to spend time with each other doing nothing...and the best thing, the late night drive (me, shalu, and sonu) towards the faribad road, with good songs...strengthening the bonds that we have....
