...when you bang into a cops jeep?
Well...nothing really if you are tactful and honest...yesterday was a bad day. I promised mishi I will never take her to a mall ever again - I almost lost my patience. Just when I was about to take a right turn towards the mall road, there was a call from Eurokids. It was mishi's teacher..I got so engrossed in talking to her that I did not realize the zeep beside me, which was telling me to stop, was a cop zeep. I thought it was one of those regular jeep, which was trying smart to get ahead of me. It was only at the turn, when the zeep came almost in front of the car and I almost banged into it, that I realized four cops sitting in it. I knew I was in trouble and I smiled to myself at the thought of the good piece of mind I would get from them or the money they would get outa' my wallet - first, I was on phone while driving, second, I did not let them get ahead of me, third, I did not stop when they asked me to, and fourth, I banged into their zeep...leaving them shaken by the whole act.
Well, the senior most cop asked me to come out of the car and I politely told him I could not because my daughter was sitting inside the car. He asked me why I was on phone and I told him that was an important call from the school which I had to take and I did not have my handfree with me. He asked me why did'nt I stop when they asked me to and I told them, since I was on phone I did not realize someone was stopping me. :-) I started laughing which did get a smile on his face. He asked my daughter "gudiya, mummy kis se baat kar rahi thi". Mishi ignored him nice and proper - and he just let us go, with a good advice "aaj tou koi baat nahi, lekin agli baar dhyan rakhen aap. Gaadi tou aapne hamari maar hi dee thi aaj" - in a typical haryanawi language!
I really did not expect them to leave me without taking any money - but that's the way it was. Saved myself and saved my car from any damage.
